Recognising 25 years of service to our community
Stanwick Races is delighted to have been awarded a Rose of Northamptonshire Award in recognition of our contribution to the community over the past 25 years.
Thanks to the support of our runners, volunteers, sponsors and supporters, we have also donated £4,500 to 12 local groups and organisations from the proceeds of this year’s race.
The Stanwick Races Group supports charity and community events that take place in the village of Stanwick in East Northamptonshire.
Our group organises a 10k and 2k race annually on Easter Monday and is also involved in other village events.

Race HQ
The Race Headquarters are at Stanwick Village Hall, Spencer Parade, Stanwick, Wellingborough NN9 6QJ
Race registration is located here and there are toilet facilities and refreshments available. Stanwick is a small rural village in East Northamptonshire, UK. The races start and finish near the village church and the course is normally lined with daffodils…
Parking
On race day parking in the village itself is very limited. This is because many roads are closed and residents have to use the available on street parking. However, we have a large car park available to use at Hall Farm on the Higham road leading out of Stanwick (approximately 400 metres away from the start/finish point).
The Course
Our 10k route features an enjoyable, undulating course that guides runners through and around the village of Stanwick. The event is fully marshalled, supported by multiple water stations, and managed by two certified TMOs. A lead car and tail car accompany the runners throughout the race, and full first aid cover is in place to ensure a safe and well-supported run.

- Race Registration will take place in Stanwick Village Hall from the following times: 10k – 07:15 to 08:45 2k – 07:00 to 08:15
- 2K Race Start Time: 8.30am
- 10K Race Start Time: 9am
- A list of runners will be posted both outside and inside
- Find your name, remember your number and go to the relevant desk to collect your runner number sheet
- Safety pins provided
- Both our 10k race and 2k fun run fill up fast, so there will be no entries “on the day”

About Stanwick Village Races
A stalwart team of Stanwick village volunteers get together each year to arrange our Easter Monday 10k and 2k races and we are proud of the hard work that goes into putting our events together. All proceeds from the races go to local charities and community groups.

Our 10k race is marshalled, organised and adjudicated according to official UKA rules but our events are designed as much for the community as they are for runners. Our village comes together to create a wonderful event which is great for all the family, runners and supporters!
Stanwick Races Group
Stanwick Races Group consists of a group of volunteers, mainly from the village. The group meets regularly throughout the year to plan the annual Stanwick Easter Races.
The Stanwick Village Races are a major annual event for our village and a warm welcome to all athletes and supporters are assured.
The whole village is involved in the organisation and preparation, with local people manning the car parks and providing friendly and encouraging marshalling.
What preparation do we do for the races?
With so many visitors to the village it is very important to have clear signs so that the athletes can find their way to the car park and registration area. The course has to be carefully marked with marshals situated at frequent intervals.
Drink stations need to be set up, road closure signs, cones and signs to warn motorists about the runners need to be put in place.
Everything possible is done to ensure the safety and well-being of the runners, spectators and residents.
We have official Traffic Management Officers in attendance.
Members of Stanwick Race Group and other charity organisations are on site early in the morning preparing for visitors.
Freshly cooked food and drinks are available before, during and after the race in the village hall.
The Duke of Wellington Pub also opens early to provide food and drinks throughout the morning.
Stanwick Club will also be open from 8am, offering refreshments for runners and spectators.
